"We were first introduced to Eva through a mutual teacher. Eva came highly recommended by this teacher and I have been thrilled with Eva’s work with my daughter ever since. Eva has been my daughter’s math tutor for 2.5 years. They work together a minimum of once per week, plus Eva is willing to help at any point during the week when my daughter needs extra support, for example in preparation for a test. As such, they are sometimes online together working through a practice test or set of questions up to three times per week.
My daughter struggled with math in elementary school and suffered from anxiety about her performance with math. Eva has been incredibly patient and kind with my daughter, guiding her through each of Math 8, 9 and PreCalculus 10. In addition to helping my daughter learn to better manage her math anxiety, Eva’s help has directly positively impacted my daughter’s math performance. She consistently has received “extending” and high B/ low A grades in math, which is a massive achievement given where she was at entering grade eight.​​​

I am most impressed with Eva’s ability to remain calm and supportive, even when my daughter is struggling with challenging math concepts. They work together as a team - sharing in successes and putting their brains together to tackle tricky problems. They work together on class work, additional questions when needed to reinforce concepts and study sheets to prepare for exams. It is wonderful that Eva provides consistent and reliable extra support for my daughter - Eva checks in with me regularly, providing updates and encouraging words to pass along to my daughter.
I highly recommend Eva for any position working directly with teenagers, even those who can be demanding and get easily frustrated.
